The Right Content Marketing Resume: How to Write It
No matter how responsible, honest and efficient an employee you are, in order to show these qualities, you first need to find a job. A common situation is when a business owner or manager wants to build his team with people who have enough knowledge and skills in a narrow field. So he discovers competent applicants even at the stage of reviewing the resume and you have to guess what to put in that document.
Structure of a proper Curriculum vitae
A good Curriculum vitae should contain blocks arranged in the following sequence:
Full name and contact information (telephone, e-mail, links to social networks), city and country of residence (optional).
Next should be the desired position or purpose of the job search. This can be: marketing consultant, assistant internet marketer, content manager, lead content manager, head of marketing.
Must be in a formal business style - not sunglasses or outdoors. Such a person has the potential to ignore the requirements of the company's corporate culture. An ""About Me"" section. Here you should briefly specify key skills and why the vacancy is interesting to you.
Information is specified in reverse chronological order. It is an additional advantage if your educational background is in marketing. Be sure to specify: the name of the university, faculty, major and years of study.
The most important block for the future employer. In reverse chronological order, submit: full company name, period of employment (from and before), position and key responsibilities. Sometimes you can include contacts of a person from a previous company to confirm the experience and recommendations from the employer.
In this block, describe your achievements in your previous jobs. You can recall participation in conferences or master classes.
These are divided into blocks:
language skills (level of proficiency in Russian, English, Ukrainian or other);
hobbies (should be related to the position). If a candidate lists fishing or playing soccer in the ""hobby"" field, the employer may not even read the marketing associate resume;
having a driver's license is an advantage, especially if the position involves travel;
courses and certificates - names of trainings taken and awards received.
